Intercultural training for new staff in Germany:

The one day seminar for a successful start to the German day

For your staff the move to Germany not only means a change of workplace, for they are faced with challenges which affect their whole way of life: a new environment, a different culture and a different climate. This change from the familiar to the largely unknown makes particular demands on a person's personal and professional development. This seminar supports your staff in coping with the many new challenges in their daily routine and particularly in working life. In this way, the stay in Germany will be a success for your staff and your company right from the start!

Content of the seminar
The seminar gives practical tips for settling in in Germany and for interacting with German colleagues, business partners and private contacts. The following topics will be discussed.

About Germany:
Relevant information about its geography and society.

The German day:
From "A" for "authority" to "W" for "winter tyres" we will discuss topics which make adjusting to the daily routine easier.

Living and working with Germans:
What is typical German? What characteristics and behaviour patterns must I adjust to? How can I conduct myself so as to reach my goals?

Using practical examples from the participants as well as information and experiences from the lecturer, ways of working and living together will be developed.

Lecturer:
Dr. Sylvia Schroll-Machl is a graduate psychologist and has many years' practical experience as an intercultural coach and trainer. Among other things she is the author of numerous and excellent publications as well as a columnist for intercultural business queries at the FAZ (see also www.schroll-machl.de).
