Frankfurt: a fascinating city with an impressive skyline

Frankfurt am Main, a world-class financial district and service center - the smallest metropolis in the world. Frankfurt has an excellent infrastructure and is home to many major European corporations as well as hosting one of the biggest airports in Europe.

Frankfurt nestles in the Frankfurt Rhine Main region where 5.3 million inhabitants live. The city has many beautiful districts such as Bornheim, Sachsenhausen, Bockenheim and Westend. On the banks of the river Main you will find renowned museums like the Deutsches Filmmuseum or Deutsches Architekturmuseum. Frankfurt offers two major theaters and about 20 smaller ones. Foreign-language productions can be seen in the English Theater and the International Theatre.

Frankfurt is imbedded in a wooded, and forest-heavy, low mountain range. Taunus, Odenwald and Spessart. In these areas you have the opportunity to do different sporting activities such as hiking, biking, riding, or just taking beautiful walks. In the city there are a number of parks, the Grüneburgpark, Günthersburgpark or Holzhausenpark.

Frankfurt am Main is a city with character and tradition. Visit the famous "Apfelweinkneipe" a traditional restaurant famous for their "Grüne Soße" (an herb sauce and speciality of Frankfurt) and try a glass of Ebbelwein (Apple wine - cider) as well! In short: Frankfurt has a lot to offer.
